2009 Walk to Remember

Dear Walk to Remember Supporters:

Save the Date! The 2009 Walk to Remember will be held Saturday, October 10. We are in the process of soliciting Silent Auction items, planning the programming and getting ready to honor all of our children. Please watch for updates to our website as well as registration for the Walk to Remember coming in early August.

We are grateful to announce that our last Sponsor-A-Care-Package drive was so successful that we are able to expand our Care Package program to more hospitals throughout the Front Range area. As Mother's Day and Father's Day approach, please consider sponsoring a bereavement care package in honor of child during these difficult holidays.

By sponsoring a Care Package, you can help a family by giving the gift of cherished memories. With the limited time that families have to honor the memory of their child, it is critical that bereaved parents receive the resources available to help ease the pain of their loss.
Not only will you change the lives of another family, but by donating the full cost of a package ($40) you have an opportunity to honor and share the memory of your own child. Sponsored packages will be given a beautiful hang-tag stating that this package was sponsored “In loving memory” of the child you choose. We know that times are difficult now, and even a small donation of $10 can help achieve our goal to deliver as many Care Packages as possible to families in need.

With your help, we can ensure that bereaved parents in Colorado receive the greatest gift they could ask for: the gift of memories.

We are also seeking volunteers for many different opportunities with AWTR. If you are interested in helping put together and/or deliver care packages, please contact Jill McDaniel at jill.mcdaniel@walktoremember.org, she will be in need of folks to help put together our next round of beautiful care packages for bereaved parents.
