The words, "I can't find a heartbeat," are the last words expectant parents should hear from their doctor. But every day, women in America are faced with the reality of miscarriage, stillbirth, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, and other leading causes of infant loss. Over one million families in America are affected each year by miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDS, or other types of infant loss. The “Walk to Remember” Foundation is a Colorado non-profit organization founded in 2008 that seeks to help parents and individuals touched by all types of infant loss including pregnancy loss, stillbirth, SIDS and infant death. They provide access to bereavement support, provide bereavement care packages to families who have lost a baby, educate medical professionals who are faced with infant death on a regular basis, and organize an annual memorial walk.
