What is the purpose of the Walk?
The Walk is a memorial walk for parents, family members, and friends to come together to remember a precious baby who has died due to miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDS, Neo-natal or any type of infant loss.

What do the proceeds of the annual Walk, Silent Auction, and donations go to?
All proceeds raised by A Walk to Remember throughout the year go towards the funding of bereavement packages received by families via hospitals to assist with their grief after the loss of a baby or infant as well as to the educational programs provided by A Walk to Remember to hospital and doctor office staff.

Who is eligible to participate in the Walk?
All are invited to participate in the annual Walk - young, old, friends, family, and supporters of all kinds.

How recent must our loss be to participate?
Regardless if your loss was recent or was 20 years ago, we come together to support your walk through grief and to remember and honor your baby.

What can I do in honor or memory of a baby if I am not able to participate in the walk?
-Sponsor another family that is walking. SPONSOR A FAMILY NOW
-Make a donation in the name of your baby. Donate Now!
-Purchase a bereavement package in honor/memory of your baby to be given to another family. Visit our Online Store to help another family.

When is the last day to Register?
The last day to register Online to ensure that your baby's name is on the 2008 T-shirt and Program is September 1st. Same-Day registration is available, but with this method of registration your baby's name will not be on the 2008 T-shirt or Program. In addition, Same-Day registrants are not guaranteed a T-shirt, as the number of shirts available will be limited.

What if I don't want to register online, can I mail in my registration?
The easiest and most convenient way to register for this year's walk is by registering online. But if you prefer to register and send payment via U.S. Postal Service, a mail in registration form will be available soon. Please check back frequently.

What if I missed the registration deadline, can I still get my child's name on the shirt?
Unfortunately for the T-shirts to be printed in time for the walk, you must have your registration in prior to the September 1st, 2008 deadline to have your baby's name on the 2008 Shirt. Fabric pens will be available for those who would like to handwrite their child's name on their shirt.

Can I register at the Walk?
While walk-up Registrations are available, we encourage you to register ahead of time to ensure a quick check-in. With this method of registration your baby's name will not be on the 2008 T-shirt or Program.
Walk up Registration fees are as follows:
Individual: $25
Couple: $40
We will accommodate, based on availability, shirt sizes for Walk-up Registrations.

What if I can't make it to the Walk but would like to donate?
You can make a financial contribution or you an sponsor a family for the 2008 walk. We are also in need of Silent Auction items. If you have Silent Auction Item(s) to donate please click here.

What if I can't make it that day and still want a T-shirt(s)?
T-shirts can be purchased in our Online Store, though quantities of the 2008 Walk shirts are limited.

How can I get additional T-shirts outside of what I get when I register?
Additional T-shirts can be purchased in our Online Store.

Who do I contact if I would like to help volunteer for the 2008 Walk to Remember?
Volunteers for the Walk are always welcome. If you would like to volunteer your time to help with the 2008 Walk to Remember, please submit a Volunteer Interest Form.

Is there a limit to the number of people that can walk?
Absolutely not! Please invite your family and friends to walk with you and support you.

Are dogs allowed in the walk?
While dogs are allowed in Clement Park on a leash, we ask that you leave your dog at home for the walk due to the number of attendees participating.

Can we bring strollers?
You are welcome to bring strollers.

What is the terrain of the walk?
The path around the lake at Clement Park is concrete and handicap accessible from various areas of the park (most easily the north and west sides of the Johnson Reservoir), however the area around Grant Amphitheater is grass.

What is the distance in the walk?
The actual walk is 1.4 miles around Johnson Reservoir (lake).
